Valhalla Soap, good clean fun! Well that is pretty much right on the mark with this wonderful Pacific Northwest company. Donna and Matt not only offer a wide variety of delightful handmade products, they are wonderful people to boot!

Since we are located in the same state, I got my order in just a few days. They have always had fast turn around time. I really like the look of their packaging. The labeling is professional, consistent bright and very easy to read. Five stars to them for the great presentation of all of their products. Branding is very clear for this company.

One thing that I look for in a family owned business is one that gives back to their community in some way. Valhalla does just that. They donate a percentage of their gross profits each year to the American Cancer Society and other local charities. Way to go!

First up are their Soy Wax Tarts. For those that know me, you know how much of a tart ho I really am. So, when Valhalla started offering these highly scented beauties, I HAD to have some! They come in a clamshell box that has six cubes for $3.00. Based on the high quality and the fact that these are made with soy wax, I think that is a fair price.

The scents in my order were:

  • Cha Cha Chai – Amazing chai duplicate with long lasting throw and spicy goodness
  • Indigo Sugar – This scent rocked my world or at least the world known as my house. It had good throw, but didn’t last as long as I would have liked. I will buy it again though
  • Orange Chiffon Birthday Cake – OMG I LOVE this scent. Excellent throw for 8 or more hours.
  • Esse Seville – Also known as neroli or orange blossom. This was extremely accurate in scent and stronger than any tart I have purchased. I normally don’t do floral scents, but do like a good neroli.

I also snatched up a few of their awesome Soy Candles. I really enjoyed the Sexy Pink, Pumpkin Spice, and Spiced Gingerbread. Great throw and definitely the clean burn that you get with soy wax. Again the throw was excellent on the candles as with the tarts.

Next up, another of my favorites items is their Soap. Each bar is handcrafted and is a whopping 4 plus ounces! They are also stamped with the companies initials. Which is just another testament to their branding and attention to detail.

I tried:

  • Nag Champa – I am picky picky PICKY about my nag. And let me tell you, this soap hit the nail on the head. It is almost an exact dupe of the original incense that I love so much.
  • Sea Island Grapefruit – Nice Citrus blend
  • Spiced Gingerbread – Yum-O! Wow this was the quintessential holiday scent. Sadly this is only seasonal and I bought the last bar. LOL

Then there was the amazing smelling and delicious Café au Lait Gourmet Coffee Body Polish. This is a medium to thick sugar based scrub. Not too greasy and definitely no oils floating on top. ( I HATE that). This is a must have if you are a scrub fanatic.

Also worth noting are their Silky Goat’s Milk and Honey Lotions. I picked up a bottle of the Sexy Pink which is a dupe of Aquolina’s Pink Sugar. Not only is this a dead on dupe, this is one incredibly creamy and luxurious lotion.

The Silken Mist Perfumes are truly amazing. You know that is high praise from me, since I blend my own perfumes! They are dry oil perfumes which in my opinion really are the best out there when it comes to long lasting scent. Tuscan Dreams is an amazingly fresh and uplifting scent. Just a little squirt and it lasts all day.

I have been holding out the best for last. I absolutely adore their MSM Menthol Cream. Let me tell you, this stuff is a lifesaver for my back, legs, arms okay almost everywhere. I apply it after a particularly harrowing gym workout also know as the times my trainer tries to kill me. Forget, Tiger Balm and definitely chuck the Ben Gay. (I don’t have to tell you twice on that one do I?) Instead pick up some of this amazing cream, your body will thank you.

In a nutshell, this Valhalla Soap Company is definitely worth spending your hard earned pennies at. The price range is moderate and absolutely fair for the quality of products they offer. Give Valhalla a try today and be sure to tell them you saw them here at Weird Stuff In My Desk.

This was a non sponsored thread, meaning that I used my own money to buy these products for review, and I have received no monetary gain from this post.

I just got my order from ZUM.
I love their Patchouli soap. I bought just for fun their “Zum-Bum”, it is a tushie cleaner! I thought it a hoot so I bought some!.
I have bought soap at Lush and didn’t care for it except their weird jello like soap. Very strange soap that is! I bought it in RI when we were there last month.
    I love the blog Rach!
    Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the great review, the Café au Lait Gourmet Coffee Body Polish sounds amazing.

I don’t like body scrubs with oils on top either.
