I LOVE Lilacs. Growing up I had a huge Lilac bush just outside my bedroom window. When they were in full bloom my room smelled heavenly. Not to mention I LOVE the color. Whenever I smell Lilacs now I think back to my childhood and how very special their scent meant to me. I would plant Lilac bushes in a heartbeat if I could but I don’t have a yard. Some day I hope (and pray) to have a house with a yard where I intend to plant Lilac bushes outside my bedroom window and my kid’s bedroom windows so they can have special childhood memories associated with their scent too.
Thank you for your most generous offer.

My favorite commercial fragrance is “Michael” by Michael Kors. The first time I smelled in in Nordstrom as I walked by one of their employees. I did a u-turn and followed my nose until I reached the person wearing it. I first complimented her fragrance and then asked her what it was. I’m now the person people do u-turns for! People are ALWAYS asking me what fragrance I’m wearing and telling me that I smell scrumptious! It’s a very sexy and bold fragrance that actually wears nicely all day and carries well into the evening. P.S. - I signed up for your newsletter! More points, Baby!

I have to admit I’m a smell-hound so this was a very difficult question to answer. Do I go with the sheets I always dry on the line out back? Do I go with freshly brewed coffee? How about freshly mowed grass, or do I go with the scent that makes me smell it over and over and over again? That’s the one, Peonies…..or Tea Olive flowers, aahhhhhhh LOL

Thanks for stopping by my blog and entering my contest!
I love the scent of vanilla or a citrus scent. It’s hard for me to find scents that I can wear, because I’m sensitive to things that are overly flowery (allergies) or strong, and I usually find vanilla and citrusy scents to be light and not too overpowering. The citrusy scents are particularly pleasant to other people, I’ve found.
I have always wanted to have a custom scent blended but thought I could never afford it! I’m going to bookmark your site for when you’re accepting new clients again in the fall.
April 24th, 2008 at 5:56 am

This is tough…. I love perfume, but I hardly get to wear it anymore because I work in a winery tasting room and it would conflict with the smell of wine..

Hmm… how to describe? That’s always been my problem. I go for vanilla because it’s easy. But my favorite perfume was Kazmir. They don’t make it any more (there’s a similar perfume name, but nothing like the scent). It came in a short fat bottle with a crown type lid. Musky and spicy with a hint of woodsy (if I remember right). I have one bottle left in my stash somewhere, and I should probably use it before it loses it’s scent completely.

I have 2 favorite scents. Gardenia, because it reminds me of the first perfume I ever had when I was a little girl. It was a roll on stick that I think my grandmother bought from Avon. I carried it around in my little purse wherever we went. Even if I didn’t put it on, I would still take it out just to smell it. I still love it today.
My second is Green Tea by Bulgari. It’s a unisex scent and it’s just so clean and crisp, I love it. I can’t even put into words how much I love this scent!

I would have to say that orange blossom is my favorite, though I have many. But the true orange blossom from the tree is just intoxicating and calming. It is so illusive, I have yet to find a bottled one that duplicates it. Sad it is short lived here but a for a short time it is absolutely heaven here in Mesa, Az.

This is a FANTASTIC prize. Thank you for offering it!
I love food scents. My favorite perfume is Victoria’s Secret Love Spell, but my favorite scent it mint chocolate. The chocolate is yummy and makes me feel luxurious, pampered. The mint is invigorating & refreshing. It’s not often I can find the two in combination, so when I do, I often stock up (talking about candles, in particular).

This is a great giveaway! So this might sound weird, but the most beautiful thing I’ve ever smelled is evergreens near the ocean. I guess because the evergreen smell is comforting and stable, and the salt air makes me think of vastness and adventure. It’s the perfect balance!

I love exotic and oriental, mixed with earthy/woodsy scents — so something like Opium or Black Cashmere (for commercial perfumes) are my faves.
They transport me far away!

What a difficult question…I love the scent of my son’s little furry cowie that he’s snuggled with his whole life and my daughter has this ‘dorable little breath. (they are 15 and 12) And I love the smell of this little weed in my yard that is related to chamomile, I think, rain, sun-drenched sheets, MOSS and coffee and my husband’s neck…..hmm.
But, non of those are scents for me to wear. I’m thinking sweet scents like vanilla and something fresh and clean. I like the contrast. Vanilla is warm smelling and the fresh air/rain smell is cool.
What a wonderful gift giveaway!

my favorite scent is tropical and fruity, young and sensual. I’m thinking cherry blossoms, citrusy lemonade. I think it’s from living in the North East with all the snow, I long to be with the young and heat of the warm climates.

I love fruity scents–peach and apple and citrus…mostly because they are light and they don’t bother my husband. I used to love vanilla, but then I had a vanilla bathroom spray, and that kind of ruined it for me!

Wow - this is so great! Um… favorite scent? That’s really hard. I’m torn between vanilla, and… fruits. I love Be Delicious by Donna Karen, for example. Bath and Body works scents [though sometimes theirs are waaay too "perfumey" for hand soaps, etc.] I really like dragonfruit too, passion fruit… I love home comforting vanilla is and the fruits, I like fresh scents. Something a little sweet- but not saccharine -and musks make me sneeze. I need something light and crisp (but not too much!)

Just one?? It’s hard to choose, as I love lavender at night to relax (I have some bath and massage oils that smell of lavender) but my daily scent is a blend of nag champa oil and lemon grass, a spritzer made at a soap shop in my town.

Thank you for visiting my giveaway. I get migraines triggered by scents so it is hard to find things that are nice. I love lavender. It is relaxing and has deep notes but is not overpowering. I cannot do many floral scents or heavy scents because of the headaches but lavender works very well for me.
OH YOU KNOW, I just thought of a scent that I wish could be bottled, the scent of the orange blossoms. We have an orange grove across the street and when they are in bloom it is such a heavenly scent. It is a comforting smell that reminds me of my childhood and actually relaxes me.
