Lindsay Green is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to bath and candle products. When I opened my box from Lindsay’s Candles & Stuff it was a wave of unbelievably scrumptious smells!

I have always loved her packaging, it is simple clear cut and cute. Everything is clearly labeled which I really like. My box had a soap, three wax melts and a lip balm.

I took these products on the RV with me when we moved across country, and have toted them a long way. The Orange Lip Balm was a savior on the road as we moved from one extreme temperature to another, plus the AC blowing in your face for 14 hours a day, did not leave my skin in great shape. I don’t know what I would have done without this balm. When Lindsay says orange, she means ORANGE. It tastes fresh squeezed and provides great moisturizing while leaving just a little shine behind. For $2.50 Canadian, you really can’t beat this Lip Balm.

The most amazing bar of soap kept us both going through those long days. The Wake Me Up Soap Bar did just that each morning at the KOA! It has pure essential oils of eucalyptus, peppermint, lemon and wintergreen in it. It is all natural and provides just the right kick to get your day started right. This is one bar of soap that is on my must have list. The other bonus is that it doesn’t dry out my skin like other natural soaps I have tried in the past. So, an A+ to Lindsay!

Moving right along to my favorite addiction….Wax Melts! I actually burned these in the house the last few days right before we moved, and was super sad to see the last one go. The first one was Cinnamon Buns. WOW! It was strong and lasted all day (as in 24 hours) and filled the house up. Now this is a scent that is typically hit and miss with most e-tailers. Not so with Lindsay’s Candles & Stuff. It was dead on, and didn’t have any bizarre after scent. Next was the Warm Apple Pie melt. I am drooling thinking about that tart. It is on my MUST buy tart list. You can quote me when I say…It is so freaking good! Now, the Jamaica Me Crazy melt was intense. Very fruity/tropical. Again excellent scent throw that lasted into the next day. I would buy this one in bulk too. It was that yummy. The neat thing about these Wax Melts is you can actually get them color coordinated to your preference to match your rooms. LOL, how cool is that?

When it comes to service and quality, Lindsay’s Candles & Stuff simply cannot be beat. If you are balking at ordering from a Canadian company, do not hesitate, run to the border, cross and BUY people. If you don’t, you are missing out.

Discounts: Currently when you place an order of $25.00 or more, you get a free 1oz Cosmopolitan Cocktail perfume spray. I don’t know how long this will last. There is usually some type of special offer on the home page.

I have only ordered from their online store one time, and it will be the last time. I cannot remember when I have been more disappointed with a purchase than the one from Demeter Fragrance. The service was fast, the packaging is professional and minimal. But the product was an utter bomb in my opinion. Several years ago I ran across their fragrances in a small boutique and picked up a couple of sprays in Tomato Leaf and Dirt, more for the novelty of wearing something wacky than actual love of the scents. They actually smelled completely right on. It was because of this I decided to actually give them a go again. I was surprised to see how BIG their fragrance collection had grown and was very excited. They now offer shower gel, candles and soaps as well as an array of the bath and body products. Of course I had to get several of each.

So, I picked up a Cinnamon Bun Candle. It is a good size tin (5.6oz), and has a pretty decent throw, but nothing to write home about. It smelled more like straight cinnamon. The free gift at the time was a shower gel in Angel Food Cake. This had almost NO scent at all. The consistency was nice, but with no scent, what’s the point?

Next are their Olive Oil Soaps made in Italy. I am a HUGE fan of olive oil soaps, so was excited to see these and held high hopes for these bars. These items were the BIGGEST disappointment to me out of everything in this order. There was virtually no scent. The bars are huge (7 oz), but I wanted to smell good after using them. I picked up more than one (what I was thinking I have NO idea) I bought, Angel Food, Apple Pie, Orange Cream Pop and Sex on the Beach. They are extremely hard bars that began to crack along the sides and split apart as I used them. I finally took them out of the shower and have been using one for hand soap and the others for door stops. To its credit the hand soap has lasted a long time.

I saved the best (if it can be called that) for last. They offer 1/2 oz humongous mini splash colognes for only $5.00 a pop, so of course I got several of these. The first ingredient is alcohol, second is fragrance lastly is water. Pretty basic recipe. And you can definitely smell the alcohol. If you have a sensitivity to it (which I do) be forewarned.

Jelly Belly Sugar and Spice – Thankfully this smells right on, and is pretty darn yummy. I would possibly buy this in a spray if it was on sale somewhere.

Jelly Belly Blueberry muffin – Smells right on and really drys down nice.

Creme Brulee – Sucks, basically smells like vanilla with a strange slightly powdery note.

Cotton Candy – No way this smells like cotton candy, not even close kids, really smells chemically. It is hard to dupe this scent anyways. This one fell flat.

Suntan Lotion – This kind of smells like suntan lotion with a chemical kick. Think dollar store scented. ewww

Marshmallow – Another total let down. there may be a FAINT (and I mean very faint) hint of marshmallow. It did get a little tiny bit stronger after about an hour or so.

Seriously, it pains me to have to share this poor review of this company. I was really hoping for better quality and scent accuracy like the first two sprays I purchased long ago. Maybe I should have purchased all the scents in sprays and from their top 30 scent list (of which the Jelly Belly scents were). Maybe I would have had better luck. The good thing is that they have a 100% no questions asked money back gaurantee. Too bad I threw away my receipt and can’t find my online confirmation. Nor is it stored on their site. I will probably pitch all the soaps, let my friends have dibs on the scents I didn’t like and use the rest.

This great little Texas bath and body company got its start back in 1998. Since then it has gone on to achieve some amazing feats and formulate many excellent body products. The packaging is clean and simple and professionally presented. All items except Old School Soaps are custom made for you when you order.

While Body Balms may be world renowned for their Worlds Largest Soap Bar (8 tons to be exact!), they make a killer balm that I have been aching to share with you.

Hangnail Homicide comes in a ½ ounce twist up tube and is built to save not only your cuticles, but other dry bits on your body. Let me tell you that I have DRY hands from handling lots of paper and books, and hangnails can be my bane for pain. I was admittedly a little skeptical when I first heard of this product. But, desperate nails call for desperate measures. So, I bit the bullet. You know what? This was the BEST nine bucks I have ever spent on a hand care specific product. Hands down (ha ha pun intended)! A little bit goes a long long way. I really love raspberry seed oil, and that is one of the many healing specialty oils in this stick. I also use it on my office chair elbow syndrome, and it works like a charm!

The other product that I purchased from Body Balms was this little beauty.

A USB Tart and Oil Burner This is wicked cool (yes, I know the saying is so 80’s, but it is true). Your life will never be the same after this little gem enters your life. And if you don’t hurry, there may be none left. My hot little hands picked up two just to be safe. LOL This is one of the burners I use to test and do reviews from. It has low heat and cleans up really easily. I simply push a paper towel down into my melted wax and soak it up, wipe and viola! It is clean and ready for the next scent. I haven’t used oils with it, cause I am all about the wax baby! The other nifty thing is that the unit acts as a USB hub as well and has a +5V DC socket. Talk about multi tasking. This was my favorite purchase for 2007.

One cannot talk about Body Balms and not mention their 8 TON Soap Bar! They hold the world’s record for the largest bar of soap ever made. I was lucky enough to receive a sample of this amazing sudser in a package last month. What on earth did they do with this bar?
