In The Moody for a Moody Bee Deal?

July 27, 2011

Sometimes I get lucky and get news of an awesome deal and today is our lucky day. Remember the awesome review I did awhile back for Moody Bee Lip Balms here. The best freaking lip balm in the world (yep still standing by that). Well she’s got a quick special running.

Here it is:

“Until July 31 www.moodybee.com will double any lip balm orders.  Buy 5, you’ll receive 10 etc. Good chance to try a great lip balm!” So in other words it is a buy one get one FREE deal! Sweet!
Just buy however many you want and they will automatically double your amount. But only until July 31st.
I wanted to add a little note about the continued awesomeness of these balms. I now live in the south where it is HOT HOT HOT and keep my Moody Bee Balm in the car. Well the heat index frequently hits 115 or more during summer. My balm has minimal melting. It has a tiny bit but it doesn’t turn to liquid and I can still use it. I think it may have to to do with the beeswax though I am no expert. Just another reason to love this product. Now I don’t leave it out on the dash mind you, but it is always in the hot car. Because I still keep one in every room/place I go so I am never without it.
Now, run do not walk to get yours!

I receive a box of lovely goodies the other day from Canadian E-tailer Bovine Bubbles and Hogwash. I was excited to rip into that box, let me tell you. Everything was wrapped in tissue so they wouldn’t bang around on their long journey from Saskatchewan which earns them bonus points in my blog. There was a lovely hand written colorful card thanking me for trying their products. The personal touch really makes a difference to me. Inside the box were an array of bath and body products. The packaging is clean, simple and professional. This is a small family run business, but just because they are small, doesn’t mean the don’t offer a very large variety of products.

The first thing I glommed onto were the Smelly Little Wax Things there were three scents, Lemon Lush, Cranberry Mint Julep and Thai to the East. They are packaged in clamshell with 6 cubes to a box. I immediately popped Thai to the East into my USB tart burner here at my PC. Wow! This scent is very fresh and clean, but not cloying. I dig it and would purchase this in the future and get it in body products. It is not typical of a scent that I would normally choose, so this was an extra special for me. The throw is really good and lasts a long time. I popped one of these in my Wall Tart Burner yesterday morning and I can STILL smell it. The Lemon Lush smells like my all time favorite London Lemon Curd! Another keeper and definitely a throw winner. Now the Cranberry Mint Julep smells nice out of the box, but didn’t really have much throw in my burners. I have to really stuff my nose down into it to smell it. Maybe it needs more Fragrance? These are a soy paraffin blend, and they melted down quickly and efficiently.

There were two bars of soap, Satsuma and “Bean” There, Done That. The Bean bar is an awesome vanilla creation, that lathers well and has a nice clean feel after your hands are dried. The Satsuma didn’t really have much scent to me. Yet it has an incredible lather, and left my skin feeling smooth and moisturized after getting out of the shower. I LOVE the scent of Satsuma, so maybe if the soap gurus added some more scent I could fall in love with this bar. Not to worry, there are tons of different soaps to choose from on their site. The bars have nice beveled edges and are 4 oz each. Perfect hand size bars. I have small hands so this is a plus for me. I have my eye on the Ambra de Nepal, Vanilla Sandalwood and of course Thai to the East.

Next was the Udderly S”moo”th Lip “Smoo”cher in Pink Lemonade. In a word YUM in two more, get some. This stuff smells incredible, and leaves my lips s”mooo” chable. I am somewhat of a lip balm addict, so it is nice to have a new flavor in my stash. AND they are only $2.75 Candian!

Last but not least is the Udderly Smooth Heel ‘n Hands Hand and Body Cream in Vanilla Lavender scent. Some of you may know that I don’t like lavender overly much. That being said, in the name of science I gave this cream a whirl. I am SO glad I did! It isn’t over powering with the lavender which is a bonus. One of the best part of this cream is the texture. It is thick and smooth, yet is not greasy at all. It soaks into the dermal layer quickly leaving my skin soft and smooth. This is one product you should definitely get if you have dry hands and especially if you wash your hands a lot.

Bottom line, I would definitely purchase from this company in the future. The shipping was fast from Canada to the US, it took just a few days to get here. Remember if you are in the US, you are getting a slight discount because of the dollar conversion. If the shipping is less than what the cart calculates, they will refund the difference to you, which is really nice. So many companies don’t do this. This is just small selection of the large variety of products Bovine Bubbles and Hogwash offers. They have a cute looking kids line, perfumes, pedicure products heck they even have homemade jams!

This was a sample sponsored thread, meaning that the company outlined sent products for review, and I have received no monetary gain from this post.
